This south-facing ground mounted photovoltaic array is located on the boundary of a rural conservation area. It comprises 20 Romag Powerglaz SMT (6)54P(200) modules on a Schuco PV Lite mounting system. The array is linked to a Diehl Platinum 3800S inverter mounted in the garage by a 75 m buried SWA cable. The inverter is connected to the main consumer unit in the house and the mains grid via a sub-distribution board.
Based on historical solar irradiation data, the array is predicted to generate in the region of 3,625 kWhs per annum, displacing a substantial proportion of the household’s mains electricity consumption. Any surplus generation is exported to the grid.
