This ground mounted PV array was installed in the garden of a large new build detached house. The array is connected via a 105m buried cable to the main distribution board in the plant room.
The array consists of 40 JA Solar 275 Wp modules connected in 2 strings to a 3-phase Solis inverter mounted at the array. The client preferred a low profile mounting system with the modules arranged in 2 rows of 20.
We used an RT20 trencher to excavate the trench for the cable to a depth of 0.75m. This created a very narrow trench which helped to minimise disruption to the garden and reduced the amount of soil that needed to be dispersed.
The 3-phase connection allows fast charging for electric vehicles as well as supplying two NIBE F2040 air source heat pumps that are used to supply for heating and hot water.
