This dairy farm is a heavy user of electricity. A 15kW array was installed to offset a proportion of the daytime usage. The array consists of 60 Upsolar 250 Wp modules mounted on the south facing roof of one the cow sheds.

Extreme care had to be taken installing on the roof of one of the cow shed which is corrugated fibre cement panels, which are notoriously fragile. We used a cruciform mounting system with vertical rails attached to hanger bolts which were drilled into the steel purlins. Longitudinal rails were laid across the vertical rails creating a lattice onto which the modules were mounted.

A 3-phase SMA FLXPRO 15 inverter connects three x 20 module strings to the grid.
